Sales, Meeting and Events Coordinator

We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic M&E Coordinator to join our busy sales team.

This role will involve generating sales of Conferences, Events and Weddings to achieve targets and increase conversion of provisional business contracted and assisting on the day of the events when required to.

As a Sales Meetings and Events Co-ordinator, experience in Sales of Events, Events co-ordination or Hotel systems and operations is essential. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package and other computer systems is vital.

You will be providing show-rounds to prospective clients, and as such, have an outgoing and friendly personality with excellent communication skills.

Attention to detail is critical as well as the desire to succeed and keep the clients advised and involved at every step of the way as they plan their events/conferences to a achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

You must possess the drive to seek potential leads, working towards conversions from enquiry to confirmation within a busy sales environment and have the eye for details to ensure communication is excellent between departments.

You will be expected to be flexible with your working hours which are dependant on the business and will include weekend shifts.

This is a fulltime permanent position and the salary is competitive and dependant on experience.

Full Time Night Porter

At Bredbury Hall we currently have an opportunity within our Night Reception team.

The candidate must possess excellent customer service and telephone skills and have experience within the hotel industry. The successful candidate will be able to multi-task and work well within a team and individually. The role will include a variety of tasks on reception, serving drinks behind the bar and assisting other departments within the hotel including manual labour and cleaning duties to ensure the smooth running of the hotel. Additionally experience and knowledge of Micros till and Opera booking system (or similar systems) and good IT skills will be highly advantageous.

The role is full time and will include weekday and weekends 11pm – 7am, flexibility is required to accommodate the needs of the business.

Salary: Competitive and dependant on experience

New Chef de Partie or Highly Skilled 1st Commis role

Currently we have an opportunity in the role of a Chef de Partie or a highly skilled 1st Commis Chef.

This is an excellent opportunity for highly motivated, and experienced Chef to work in a fast-paced kitchen preparing a wide-range of dishes it will give you the perfect opportunity to demonstrate your culinary expertise. highest standards, ensuring minimum wastage, while maintaining a clean, safe and tidy work environment at all times.

The ideal candidates will possess:

  • Experience in a similar property within a fast paced, high volume restaurant and events producing dishes for conferences, banqueting, Table d’hòte and à la Carte Menu
  • The ability to ensure dishes are efficiently and correctly produced in line with the company standard
  • Previous exposure to HACCP and H&S awareness and ensure the department complies with any regulations
  • Must be passionate and have the ability to cope under pressure
  • Will have past experience as a Chef de Partie or 1st Commis Chef or in a similar role
  • Experience of all areas of the kitchen and additional experience in pastry would be advantageous but not essential.

Commis chefs must be trained to NVQ level 3

Casual Bar Staff

We currently have opportunities within our Bars in the hotel and night club.

We are looking for people to join our bar team and previous experience within a bar role would be advantageous. The right person will be a strong team player, have excellent customer service skills, be able to respond to customer requests efficiently and professionally and be dependable and well-presented. The main shifts required are Saturday nights to work on the bars and in the night club and other shifts may be available dependant on the business demand.
